Which means you can also use a 9v DC supply and the polarity will be corrected by the bridge rectifier. Boom!<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://smartbasic.net/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=296">MrPix</a> — Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:51 pm</p><hr />

With AC there is no dedicated negative or positive, they "alternate" - hence Alternating current <img class="smilies" src="http://smartbasic.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif" width="15" height="17" alt=":D" title="Very Happy"><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://smartbasic.net/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=2">Milli</a> — Thu Dec 12, 2019 10:06 am</p><hr />

And now I am even more confused. LOL<br>It is probably due to my life as a guitar player and using and building pedals that run 9v power in place of a battery. Usually you have a center that is positive or negative but I think that is converting the AC to DC.<br><br>So this power supply is AC straight through?<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://smartbasic.net/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=295">Sixthview</a> — Wed Dec 11, 2019 6:11 am</p><hr />

Its 9v AC - you can use one that was made for an Atari 400 / 800. There is no positive or negative.<br><br><a href="http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/power%20guide.htm" class="postlink">http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/power%20guide.htm</a><br><br>Milli<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://smartbasic.net/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=2">Milli</a> — Sun Dec 08, 2019 9:37 am</p><hr />

I was going to start poking around the old manuals, but does anyone know the specs for the power pack for the disk drive off the top of their head?<br><br>I know it is 9V. But I am wondering what the AMPs are and also center positive or negative? <img class="smilies" src="http://smartbasic.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_question.gif" width="15" height="17" alt=":?:" title="Question"><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://smartbasic.net/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=295">Sixthview</a> — Sun Dec 08, 2019 6:24 am</p><hr />
