Just for s&g's, how much are you looking to get for your beater Milli?

The beater is gone but I have one that I was looking for $250 plus shipping.

They are so hard to come by nowadays. I have my original one that works well. I have a second that is just a chassis. I attempted to repair it using a commodore drive last year but it didn't work. I have wanted a second one so that I could give it to my dad to use. He is 91 and wants to go back through his old stuff with it. So at this point I have resolved myself to just giving him mine since I have the VDD now. I know I'll get it back one day but I just cringe at letting it go.

Just for s&g's, how much are you looking to get for your beater Milli?

Lucky guy! I remember that you scored a few drives together that you had to repair/restore. I missed out on that nice one you put on eBay. I think if/when I do spring for one I’d like it to be complete though.

I have thought long and hard about splurging for a real drive, but frankly since I already have 2 VDD's I see almost no benefit to it from a usage standpoint. That $150++ asking price could be put to much better use towards my numerous other hobbies...
That said, I will not deny that I still secretely pine for one, at least from an emotional standpoint

What are you willing to pay for one?

Well it’s not a “must have” for me but it’s something I’d like because it’s an original ADAM peripheral. I’d probably be in at $180 - $200 USD.

Nice, that looked near mint condition! And it already sold. Still a bit more than I’d be willing to pay though. Being in Canada, the exchange rate kills me.

Came across this listing for an original ADAM 5.25 disk drive on ebay. It looks like its in great condition and it powers up although its actual I/O functions are untested and sold as-is.

I would eventually like to get a real disk drive for my ADAM but $500 USD comes out to about $670 CAD and that's just way too rich for my wallet. Here's the link in case someone here is interested and has the funds:
